New Fire Trucks Arrive!

On Thursday afternoon, at a few minutes after 3:00 pm, two gleaming new red fire trucks pulled into the parking lot at Hart County’s Central Fire Station. History was made at that moment. This is the first time Hart County has purchased new trucks; all other trucks have been used when purchased and modified as fire trucks.

Engine One will be assigned to Central Fire Station, and Engine Three will go to Goldmine Fire Station.

Commissioners RC Oglesby, Joey Dorsey, Ricky Carter and Chairman Randy Banister cut the red ribbon, officially introducing the new trucks to the Fire Department’s Fleet of trucks. Also present were Gary Cobb, former County Administrator; Jerry Byrum, Assistant Fire Chief; and many volunteer firefighters and Hart County residents.

The winner of the shotgun in the March Bio Station raffle was Tracy Curry.
