The organizational mission of NDO is to improve the lives of socially and economically disadvantaged persons and provide them with the opportunity to secure a brighter future, free of poverty.

Helping individuals/families obtain economic and social independence is achieved through the implementation of a wide array of direct program service delivery and interdisciplinary approaches. These include but are not limited to Head Start, Home Weatherization, Housing Services and Development, Low Income Home Energy Assistance, Outreach, Referral and Crisis Intervention, Case Management, Employment and Training and Homeless Assistance.
