Called Meeting

The Hart County Board of Commissioner held a called meeting August 14^th, 2002 at 12:30 noon in the Hart County Administrative & Emergency Services Center.

Vice Chairman Ken Brown presided with Commissioners Banister, Burdick and Oglesby in attendance. Chairman Dorsey attending later.

Vice Chairman Ken Brown called the meeting to order and stated the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the 1% LOST.

Commissioner Banister recommended pursuing non-binding arbitration to settle the LOST dispute with the City of Hartwell.

The commissioners discussed proposed dates of September 18, 19, 23 or 24 to schedule the arbitration hearing.

Commissioner Burdick entered a motion to hire Attorney Denny Galis to hear the case and present the offer to the City of Hartwell. Commissioner Brown provided a second to the motion. The motion carried 5-0.

The Commissioners were reminded to submit one half mile for resurfacing to the County Administrator.
