Hart County Board of Commissioners

The Hart County Board of Commissioners met July 27^th, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. in the Hart County Administrative & Emergency Services Center.

Chairman Oglesby called the meeting to order and noted the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the tax digest.

County Administrator Jon Caime noted that the Board of Tax Assessors approved the tax digest July 13^th, 2005. However, there is a miscommunication between the Tax Assessors' office and the Tax Commissioners' office concerning the digest.

Tax Assessor Chairman Burdick responded that the BOA received the tax digest and approved it July 13^th. However, they have determined that there is a problem in depreciation values in some areas of the county. Therefore, he requested that they review the values before the tax notices are mailed out August 5^th, 2005.

Administrator Caime recommended that the BOA consider taking back the digest and resubmitting on August 5^th after the BOA has made their corrections. The BOC agreed to this.
