Pharma Tech Industries has acquired a manufacturing facility in Royston from Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies Inc., keeping 150 jobs in Hart County and allowing the facility to remain in use.

As a part of the transaction, PTI will be a third-party manufacturer to Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies Inc. for a variety of consumer-based products, utilizing approximately 160,000 square feet of the 260,000-square-foot facility. The company hopes to market the remaining capacity to other clients needing pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity and experienced oversight for their proprietary processes, which are ear-marked for outsourcing.
