Hart County Board of Commissioners

The Hart County Board of Commissioners met May 22^nd, 2001 at 5:00 p.m. in the Hart County Administrative & Emergency Services Center.

Chairman R. C. Oglesby presided with Commissioners Randy Banister, Ken Brown, Don Burdick and Joey Dorsey.

Chairman Oglesby called the meeting to order.

· Joint Session with Hartwell City Council/DDA & Robert & Co.

Nancy Hardigree gave a brief presentation of funding for the Downtown Development Authority Streetscape Improvements Project. She said the project is ready to be placed out for bid.

Mary Alice Applegate explained Phase I of the project and reported that they need at least $450,000 to complete the project.

After discussing the areas of the project that could be deleted, Chairman Oglesby ask that they re-schedule the meeting and invite the City of Hartwell Council members. Council members Sarah Mayfield and George Rooks were in agreement that the full council should jointly meet to discuss funding for the project.

The meeting was re-scheduled for June 12^th at 4:00 p.m.

Chairman Oglesby entered a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Dorsey provided a second to the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
