Work Session

Chairman Dorsey called the meeting to order at 12 noon. Commissioners present were Brown, Banister, Oglesby and Dorsey. Also present were Gary Cobb, Nathan Golden (Anderson Independent) and Jeff Schenck (Hartwell Sun). The purpose of the meeting was a final review of budget requests before making the budget public. The BOC agreed that the draft budget will be based on purchasing FY03 capital items from the General Fund-Fund Balance, a 3% COLA and assumes the LOST will be terminated in January 2003 and the lost revenue shortfall will come from the fund balance. The tax digest was not available thus a proposed millage could not be determined.
