Hart County Board of Commissioners
Work Session
July 9th, 2002
The Hart County Board of Commissioners had a called meeting July 9th, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. in the Hart County Administrative & Emergency Services Center.
Chairman Joey Dorsey presided with Commissioners R. C. Oglesby, Don Burdick, Randy Banister and Ken Brown in attendance.
Chairman Dorsey called the meeting to order and stated the purpose of the meeting was to discuss roads.
County Administrator Gary Cobb presented the Board with the cash flow review of the 1%SPLOST II funds for fiscal year 2003.
I. State DOT Contract Requests
The commissioners agreed to prepare of list of two miles from each District to present to the DOT for an asphalt contract request.
II. New School Intersections
The commissioners agreed to a DOT study to determine if flashing school beacons are warranted for the following intersections:
State Route 77 @ Ankerich Rd/Kelly Rd & SR172 @ E&M Dairy Rd/John W Jordan Rd
If the DOT determines that the flashing school beacons should be warranted the county will be responsible to pay all power costs associated with operating the lights. The DOT will install and maintain the beacons.
III. FY'03 LARP List
The commissioners agreed to prepare of list of two miles from each District for the FY'03 LARP list.
IV. Cedar Ridge Road
Commissioner Oglesby entered a motion to rebuild approximately a three hundred-foot section on Cedar Ridge Road, resurface Sentu with excess from Cedar Ridge allocation, patch Tahoe Drive with remainder of allocation for Cedar Ridge. Commissioner Brown provided a second to the motion. The motion carried 5-0.
Commissioner Oglesby entered a motion to adjourn the meeting. Chairman Dorsey provided a second to the motion. The motion carried 5-0.
