The Hart County Board of Commissioners met March 29^th, 2005 at 12 noon in the Hart County Administrative & Emergency Services Center.

Chairman R C Oglesby presided with Commissioners Daniel Reyen, Gary Mize, Ricky Carter and Joey Dorsey in attendance.

Chairman Oglesby called the work session to discuss the Beer & Wine Ordinance to order.

Commissioner Reyen reported that he discussed the distance requirement from a church, school or hospital with the former county attorney Bob Ridgway and Ray Lewis, a former member of the Board of Finance. He noted that the attorney recalled the distance requirement as coming from a lawsuit in another county in the State of Georgia, which held up in a court of law. Mr. Lewis recalled that the distance requirement was a consensus of the Board of Finance members.

The Commissioners discussed defining the method of measuring the distance requirement, including a Day Care and Recreation Facility, failure to submit a timely renewal application and revocation of licenses.

With no further action taken during the work session, the meeting was adjourned.
