When selected for a position, the candidate must have a physical examination and a drug screen.
The county will pay for these tests and exams.
Per County policies and procedures, employees are also required to submit to random drug tests.
All applications must be notarized to be considered.
The Hart County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applicants for the position of full time and part time Detention Officer.
Full time position Officers will receive a benefit package of paid time off, health, dental and eye insurance and opportunities
for retirement plan after one year of service. Starting salary for a Certified Detention Officer is $17.69.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to have a stable career as a Detention Officer.
Pre Certified Detention Officer may also receive additional pay incentive based off their years of experience.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, at least 18 years of age, must undergo a background
investigation along with criminal history check and medical examination and drug screening.
Application may be picked up at the Hart County Sheriff’s Office or the Hart County Jail.

for part time E-911 Communications Officers. Post certification preferred but not required

Hart County Emergency Medical Services is always accepting applications
for part time employees. Applicants must be a Georgia licensed EMT-I or Paramedic.
Before being hired applicants must pass a criminal background check,
driving history, drug screen, and physical exam.
